The New Zealand Wilding Conifer Group has announced dates for the New Zealand Wilding Pines Conference this year.

The conference is scheduled for 25-27 November, in Rotorua.  Friday the 27th will feature a field trip to the programme’s Community Partnership Project in Mt Tarawera.

The conference is an annual event run by the New Zealand Wilding Conifer Group since 2016.

This year we’re its focus will expand, building on the focus on science, research, and profiling wilding control activities, and adds key topics we get asked about: assessing wilding risk, the best control techniques for a site, how new technology can support control.

A new exhibition area will profile community projects, science and research, health and safety/good practice, and commercial stands for sponsors. Details of the conference programme and registration information will be available in the next two weeks.
