Community Partnership Fund - Expressions of Interest

Applications closed at 5pm on 14 June 2021
Under the Wilding Conifer Control Programme funding has been made available over the next two years for community partnership projects that prevent the spread of wilding pines.

The fund aims to:

  • Empower communities including Iwi/Hapū to take a lead role in controlling and preventing the spread of wilding pines in their region
  • Control and prevent the spread of wilding pines
  • To protect cultural and social values such as our unique landscape and our collective responsibility to protect it
  • Protect our native ecosystem and biodiversity values
  • Create additional jobs as part of the governments Jobs for Nature programme

Who is the fund for?

The fund is open to community groups and trusts in New Zealand that want to carry out wilding pines control in an area that is not being actively managed by central or regional government.
